Citysuper, a Hong Kong lifestyle specialty store offering a premium selection of products from around the world, required an overhaul to their e-Commerce platform.
We were tasked with coming up with a business solution and to design an e-Commerce platform that would stand out from other online stores and reflected the premium nature of Citysuper. On top of overhauling their e-Commerce platform, we had to cement Citysuper’s position as the lifestyle store of Hong Kong and China and help them better engage with customers and attract new customers.
Our core strategy centred on a redesigned website that inspired a great passion for food and good living, all of which would be attainable online with Citysuper’s premium products. The new platform would differentiate itself from other e-Commerce pages because it was made to promote a certain lifestyle, with Citysuper products the gateway to that premium lifestyle. A major part of our strategy featured a monthly lifestyle e-magazine that would engage online visitors and cement Citysuper’s position as the lifestyle store.
The new Citysuper e-Commerce platform included a fresh and modern interface, a new mobile version of the site and an abundance of content aimed at empowering online shoppers with a passion for food, wine and lifestyle products. The monthly e-magazine featured seasonal news and information along with great recipes and lifestyle tips that inspired readers. We enhanced further by enabling the order of hampers and gifts with delivery options, recipes to share, product suggestions and an ‘add to bag’ feature directly from editorials with a flexibility to support seasonal promotions, sales and special offers.
Our overhaul of Citysuper’s website transformed it into a modern e-Commerce platform that informed, entertained and engaged viewers as well as propelled their online sales performance. Overall sales goals were achieved in under a month whilst the amount of hampers sold exceeded records of previous years.
Citysuper now have a worthy e-Commerce platform that confirms their position as the lifestyle store for Hong Kong and China, with customers old and new flocking to their online store to attain a premium lifestyle.
