Vincent Niou is Associate Vice President, Programmatic and Data Strategy, APAC at Essence, a global data and measurement-driven media agency which is part of GroupM. Based out of Singapore, he heads the agency’s programmatic media and data strategy teams across the region. Joining Essence in 2011, Vincent has risen through the ranks, holding positions in disciplines including media planning, media investment and programmatic, out of the agency’s New York, San Francisco and Shanghai offices. Previously, he worked at DAE and Starcom in digital media planning and buying roles. With his diverse experience, Vincent has a deep understanding of clients’ business requirements and challenges. He is especially passionate about digital marketing technology and its role in enabling brands to earn relevant and valuable connections with audiences. He believes that the uniqueness of APAC markets enables the creation of new and meaningful partnerships, to build the next wave of advanced programmatic and data-driven solutions for marketers. In 2019, Vincent was selected to Campaign Asia-Pacific’s 40 under 40 list and named Ad Tech Rising Star, APAC at ExchangeWire’s The Wires APAC awards. He is also a member of IAB Southeast Asia and India’s Programmatic Committee. Outside of work, Vincent is an avid fitness buff, an American sports fan and a mixed martial arts enthusiast. In addition, he can often be found with his nose buried in comic books.
