Tan is a highly respected marketing leader with 20 years in regional and international leadership roles. He has a broad spectrum of experience in digital and media having worked for agencies, brands and start-ups.
Tan's last role was with the global marketing team in charge of digital and media for the Consumer Business Group at Huawei Technologies which is the world's third largest smartphone manufacturer with revenues of USD36B in 2017. Led a team of forty staff in Shenzhen and London. Worked closely with all marketing functions to develop global brand and product campaigns. key regions including Europe, LATAM, ME and APAC.
From agencies, such as OMD and The Hyperfactory he has gained experience with many industry categories including telecommunications, consumer electronics, FMCG, financial services, travel and government. Major clients have included Intel, Apple, Johnson & Johnson, Caltex, Cathay Pacific, Mandarin Oriental, HSBC, Air New Zealand and the Hong Kong Government.
He was selected for Campaign Asia;s Media A list 2016 and has been a juror for Campaign's Greater China Agency of the Year awards 2016 and a juror for the Mumbrella Asia Marketing awards 2016 and 2017.
