Based in Singapore for the last eight years, Raj has been performing his role as Chief Strategy Officer for MEC Asia Pacific for the last five years, and prior to that was the Regional Head of Planning, APAC for MEC.
Raj is the agency’s most senior strategist in Asia Pacific, and as such work’s across MEC’s most important clients and new business prospects. He also heads up product and product development for APAC regionally. Both the Analytics & Insight and Digital competencies in APAC report to him and he is responsible for their growth and integration in the wider strategic delivery of the agency to clients.
Raj has been with MEC for fifteen years, starting at TME Australia as a planner and leaving Sydney as MEC Australia’s Director of Strategic Planning. During his time at MEC, Raj was been involved in the communication strategy on a diverse range of clients and categories including Automotive, Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverages, B2B, Consumer Electronics, Entertainment, Fashion, Finance, Government, FMCG, IT, Retail and Travel & Tourism.
With over eighteen years’ experience in media, Raj is a two-time winner of the MFA Awards and won Agency of the Year three times with MEC Australia and MEC Asia Pacific.
