Originally trained as a Barrister, Philip joined TBWA in 1992, and in 1996 he relocated to Asia to establish the TEQUILA regional network across 13 markets throughout Asia Pacific. This move also culminated in developing TBWASingapore into one of Omnicom’s most successful Hub offices, providing fully integrated marketing solutions for a wide range of international clients, including Standard Chartered Bank and the much-coveted Singapore Airlines.
Philip was later appointed to the position of president South and Southeast Asia to drive the agency forward; deepening digital capabilities and meeting ambitious growth targets.
As president of TBWAAsia, Philip takes on a broader role, driving the overall strategic vision of the Asia collective, ensuring the TBWAGroup remains a leading agency with Disruption® at its core. Understanding the key to achieving this vision is developing and attracting the right talent, Philip has become a prominent regional voice championing gender equality across the industry in Asia.
At the close of 2016, Philip was named Asia Pacific’s ‘Creative Network Head of the Year’ in recognition of his successful leadership across the TBWAAsia collective and the industry at large.
