Michael Cook is the Regional CMO for APAC at AIG supporting Personal Insurance in China, Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. He is also Representative Director of AIG Global Partners and is based in Seoul.
Michael has over 25 years of experience working in the insurance, banking and telecommunications sectors. His expertise spans product marketing, customer experience and brand management, with comprehensive digital and data capability extending across B2C and B2B marketing, multi-channels, social media, insights and analytics. His experience includes; strategy development and implementation, customer segmentation, value proposition development, transforming traditional channels while cultivating emerging channels and platforms, customer acquisition, growth and retention as well as data-driven performance tracking.
Prior to joining AIG, Michael was Head of Brand and Reputation at TAL Dai-ichi Life. He also held multiple roles at Suncorp General Insurance leading the sales and marketing efforts for several mass market and niche brands. His last role was Executive Manager of Brand Portfolio Planning and Effectiveness. Prior to Suncorp, Michael held a variety of senior customer strategy and experience and product marketing roles at Westpac and Optus respectively.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney.
