After graduating from University, Marga worked for five years with AstraZeneca, a pharmaceutical company and held a range of roles, starting of as a sales representative and later responsible to lead  marketing and sales of the cardiovascular division.
 
In October 1999 Marga joined Unilever and worked for 13 years in margarines and foods and led four different business teams to grow the Benelux Foods business. End 2010 she was named Regional Category Vice President for Spreads & Dressings in SEAA and AMET and in 2012 she moved to China to become the Regional VP of the Foods business, both roles focusing on market development in D&E countries. In 2016 Marga made a switch to the regional VP Refreshment role in Singapore, leading Icecream and Tea categories in SEAA region.  After spending her whole Unilever life in Foods, Marga started in March 2019 in her current role as Head of Global Marketing and Expansions Health & Wellbeing, which is a role very close to her heart and purpose. 
 
Her purpose is to make the world a bit healthier to unlock the energy needed to get the most out of life. She is married to Koen, has 3 children and loves to run and cook.
